Hello everybody,
I'm trying to build a fingerprint sensor using the BS2. I wonder what is the best sensor to use?

They make very nice USB-based fingerprint sensors already. Why try to leverage a cute little 2000 IPS 26 byte microcontroller into this gargantuan task?

Actually I was thinking about an optical fingerprint sensor maybe using IR?

I at a time was trying to find some sample code on computer based languages. This to learn from how the program looks at the fingerprint scans. I wanted to write a program on computer to control the sensor. I never found the code. What i don't understand is how do you want to interface the stamp with the sensor? You need to have a data base of already scanned images to compare your now scanned images against. Isn’t this a bit too much for the stamp?

Please explain your ideas or thoughts on how you are planning to do this.
