Two different Forums

Would there be a possability of getting two new forums posted?


1) One specificly dealing with ways to hook up to other devices.

For example people are always asking how do I hook up a servo, motor,·camera·or link chips together.


2) One specificly dealing with ways to translate with other languages.

Several·have talked about using VB,·VBA, C# and Basic and·Mike Green and I both use LISP.


It would be nice to get these two broad topics into forums of their own.

·· For anything not specific to the existing forums you can post to the Sandbox Forum.· If your question involves programming or connecting to a BASIC Stamp, then that forum would be appropriate.· Items related to the SX go there, etc..· Anything else is for the Sandbox.· Questions such as those you posed would go there unless they pertain to connection to a specific microcontroller.· I hope this helps.· Take care.

I suspect the reason Chris is suggesting the Sandbox is that each forum requires a certain amount of manpower from Parallax staff.· It would be nice if they could support all and everything, but being a for profit venture requires that they limit their generousity.

On the other hand, the Sandbox is quite free wheeling and better than most others.

The topic of connecting to VB/C#/Matlab/etc. comes up fairly frequently, enough so that a sticky in the Stamp forum would be a good solution for this.

You mean Chrispower, he's responsible for all forums except the Propeller forum (which is my responsibility). If I were·him, I wouldn't want to moderate additional forums ontop of everything else he has to do.
