I get the following error codes: incompatible firmware and sometimes unable to find it.
Can someone explain me what's going on?

    Peter,

·· The sticky thread at the top of this forum has a listing of codes and should have a brief explanation of what they are/what causes them.

If you are using a usb driver to program the javelin,
try setting the virtual com port to 1-4, and make sure
you use the latest usb drivers.

    regards peter

I think that my batteries are the problem, i've used 4 X 1,2 volt, it worked for about 1 hour...
    Or not?

    That is quite possible.
The javelin consumes approx. 60 mA which is substantially
    higher than a basic stamp.

    regards peter

It still doesn't work, i've bought a 9v battery, and I get the following messages when I use Test Connection:
    Testing Port: COM4
Found connected Javelin Stamp, now testing for power
    Resetting
Found connected Javelin Stamp, now testing for power
    Resetting
Possible Javelin on COM4 did not respond.
Unable to find a Javelin on any port.

Can you tell me what's going on?
    Thanks!

    Peter,
    ·
·· How are you connecting to the Javelin?· Which board are you using?· Are you using a Serial Port or a USB Port?· Is this a laptop or desktop computer?

    Peter,
    ·
·· I just realized you have another thread that says you have a USB BOE with this…Did you install the latest USB Drivers from our website?· They can be found at the link below.· At the bottom of that link is a troubleshooting guide which has suggestions as well.· Have you tried these suggestions?

    Hello,
    ·
·· You didn’t mention if you tried reducing the Latency Timer as per the troubleshooting guide and if that helped any.· Was the last program you loaded very small?

Yes, it was a Hello World! example
I changed the Latency Timer, and the javelin still doesn't respond.

    Okay,
    ·
·· Please download the following ZIP file and extract it to your desktop.· Inside the folder PrimeJavelin is a batch file.· Please run this and let us know the results.· If you continue to have issues please contact Tech Support via phone.· Definitely try another battery as well.· It is possible even with a new battery to simply have gotten a bad cell.

Okay, I will. I've bought 2 javelins, and the other works perfectly. On the same port, and the processor is placed in the same way.

Did you say whether you had tried a wall power supply?· I don’t recall, but we recommend a 7.5V @ 1A power supply for the Javelin for programming.

    I don't have a wall power supply, I'm using a 9V battery, that's more than 7.5V
What battery supply should be equal to the wall power supply?

While the battery seems more powerful being 9V, a 9V transistor battery can not provide nearly the current of even 4AA batteries, which are only 6V.· Current is a bigger factor than voltage once you have the minimum voltage.

I've checked the duracell battery, and that should be enough if I don't use servo's.
    Can you tell me what

This would seem to be a communication issue.· It seems this is more a problem for those using the USB Board.· You could send the module in for testing.· Please contact Tech Support for an RMA.· Take care.

I'm from the Netherlands, I've bought it via Antratek, the distributor here.
Do I have to contact them first?
