Storage of Parallax Inkjet Printer Question
I have set up and am experimenting with the Parallax serial inkjet printer module on the BOE-Bot. If I leave the robot for hours or days, how should I store it? Should the cartridge be removed and/or resealed? Will it dry up? I can't find this covered in the instructions or book.
Thanks for any help!
The printer works OK but can be temperamental. If the BOE-Bot has been switched off, it needs an initial program run (or two) held off the surface, to get the ink to flow, before letting it run over the paper, otherwise it moves without leaving a print. This is with new Duracell AA cells so it is not a voltage problem. I assume the print head needs priming like desktop inkjets when they are first turned on from cold.
