Complementary MOSFET Half Bridge

I was listening to one of those MIT lectures tonight about CMOS devices and driving long wires / feedback and capacitive loading.
Looking at devices to experiment with on digikey I found these

Seems just connecting the two gates to one stamp pin for example would give you an inverted output pin capable of multi amp High/Low signals basically a super output pin extension that could drive long wires with capacitive loads.
Wondering what types of projects anyone has used these for.
