HI, I'm a senior in high school and I have to do a sernior research project and I chose to implement RFID technology into the high school lockers. I bought the RFID receiver and tag but now I need the microcontroller. The tech lab that I'm in has nothing in BASIC STAMP.

What do I need to buy to start off from scratch?

You have a couple of alternative.

You could buy a Board Of Education (BOE) with a BS2. Then purchase the Parallax RFID module (which is guaranteed to work with the BOE) and you should be good to go program.

Otherwise, RFID can be quite a complicated effort.

    Hello,
    ·
·· If you’re new to the BASIC Stamp then the following link has the Discovery Kit, which is the recommended kit for getting started.· There are both USB and Serial versions available.· Take care.
