how to get started in Javelin?

Hello.· I'm a newbie with Javelin.· Although I owned a Javelin for few years, I am ashamed to admit that I haven't programmed a single thing with it.··(I do use by BS2's very regularly though for various things, so I am familiar with programming in BASIC and C) and electronics.

Is there a series of lessons (beginning with simplest task of turning a LED on/off for example), progressing to something more complicated such as I2C?· A Javelin version of StampWorks would be perfect.

Can anyone direct this Javelin newbie on how to get started (with specific directions)?· I did receive some advice before that was more vague...something like "study Java on your own".· I just need a bit of "hand-holding" until I can "walk" on my own.

Please help.· I'm willing to purchase books, CDs etc. to help me get the fundamentals that I need to become a decent Javelin programmer.

well, I actually managed to find a great book that was online and free and very helpful when it came to understanding Java.

I think I've mentioned it before, but hey, if it helps....thats what matters.

You don't need the latest...just dl the third edition and start reading...try some of the code and learn from there....this gave me some great understanding of the language that really helped...
