Hi!

I am planning on buying this VFD display ( see below datasheet)..Now i wonder if i can connect this display to a basic stamp and program it like a serial display?

·· Your message subject mentions SPI Interface, but the VFD Module supports Asynchronous Serial, just like the Noritake VFD Module we carry.· It will use less pins and be easier to use the asynchronous serial interface.

So i guess it it will work... but then another question...when i look at the datasheet of the module i intended buying they doesn´t stand anything about SIN pin...like the VFD you carry...
Wich pin will i use instead?

I have chosen this module because of the high luminance...

another thing....when i look at the datasheet and luminance it shows...1100 CD/m2 and 700 cd/m2 TYP.
i quess this is the typical luminance thats used but is it able to show more than 1100 cd/m2 , 700 cd/m2

    Regards
    Robert

·· It looks like you would need to acquire the full datasheet from Noritake for you module.· Without that everything would just be guessing.· I cannot answer for the luminance ratings.
