EMIC question about speaker

Emic is designed for 8 ohms speaker.· Does anyone know what happens if I hook up a 16 ohm speaker?

    It's half as loud?· In any event, a 16 ohm speaker will take half the current of an 8-ohm speaker, so it shouldn't hurt anything.

    It sounds OK with 16 ohms speaker...nothing damaged.

    The quality of sound from EMIC is fair, not as good as I hoped though.
