Source for 3.3v regulator for Propeller?

Just me again...

I'm trying to find a reliable source for 3.3v regulators to be used with the Propeller.· Everyone and their brother seems to stock 5v regulators, but I can't find a single vendor that sells 3.3v regulators in quantities less than 1000.

Any ideas?· If so, a·supplier part number would be REALLY nice - something other than the manufacturer part number (LM2937) that none of the major suppliers seem to acknowledge.

Thanks!

Jamie

    Jamie,

Mouser carries the LF33 family. It's a low-dropout regulator, like the '2937, and doesn't need a huge output cap; but it doesn't have reverse input protection.

Typing "3.3 voltage regulator" into Digikey's search utility produces 2915 hits, 1085 that are in stock, most of which are availible in single quantities.

I'm highly partial to the linear tech LT1121-3.3, because I'm always looking for micropower and low dropout for battery operation. It does have all kinds of reverse voltage protection, runs on less than 20 microamps of quiessent current and features lots of input and output protection and comes in DIP, TO92, soic, and SOT223. It only gives 150ma current. For up to 700 ma or 3 amps I'd go for the LT1129 or LT1529 respectively, with similar characteristics.
