I have the Bs2px and I'm trying to talk to the max6955apl, which is a 16 digit, 7 segment·display driver.· I had experience with using the max7219 chip which is a 8 digit, 7 segment display driver·that they sell on parallax, but this is a little more complex.· The reason I'm trying to use one of these is because it will save me about 30 bucks for each unit I make.· So if anyone ever tried using this chip, or wants to take a stab at it, I would love a little sample code, or the direction where I can get the knowledge on how to use it.· I have the data sheet, but that seems to still only get me half way there.·

I would like to modify the max7219 multiplex program and make a clock display ie hrs/min/sec. Can you give me a idea what to do. it does not have to be accurate as a clock. Even a 10 second counter to get me started would be a help.

Sure I could do that, so you just want to display seconds, minutes and hours on a display using the 7219?
