V from delta T?

Hi all,

Is there a simple way·to provide a power supply of·1.5V, 0.1mA "extracted" from say 20 degrees of Temperature difference?

I envision a contraption submersed under·water at say 100m. At that depth we might have a steady water temp of around +10degC. On a surface it can be·anywhere·from -40degC to +40 degC. Sooo... if we arrange a T-to-V type device(s) acting as a tiny power generator that stores energy in a supercap in theory we should have a simple·and permanent source of energy... Any takers on this idea?

John

I think you want a "thermopile". I don't think you can get that much power from them though. I think a solar cell will provide easier "free" power.
