Basic clock counter

Any· ideas to help me to modify the maxdemo program· (multiplex 4 digit display driver Max 7219 (from the customizing the basic stamp book)· into a· hour/minute/second display. I would like to keep it simple as possible as my skill level is at a steep curve right now.

·· Have you seen the Binary Digital Clock in the Completed Projects Forum?· It uses the MAX7219, has a real-time 24 hour clock and could easily be configured as a counter.
