BS2px vs propeller for gyro interpretation

I'm trying to read from a gyro that has a 760 or 1520 microsecond center pulse width. process that signal and step it down so i can control less expensive servos with the gyro. I'm trying to keep costs under $350 with a $224 CSM SL720 gyro. please advisee me on which chip can best do this, and how to code it.
