EEprom speed for the Propeller

I have been looking to find out which speed EEprom is required for the propeller and I see that they are available in 2 speeds 400Khz and 1MHz, I would greatly appreciate if someone can tell which speed I should use.
Thanks

Generally, the faster EEPROMs can also run at the lower speed. These speeds are maximums. I think the Propeller runs somewhat less than the 400kHz, but that's the speed EEPROM you would want. There are slower parts (like some A/D converters) that may run at the original I2C speed of 100kHz, but they may not work on a faster bus. Sometimes the slower parts just don't see the faster signals going by. It depends on how the part is spec'd. Sometimes the faster parts require 5V to run at 1MHz, but work just fine at 400kHz at 3.3V or less.
