Learning Curve

When I first saw the propeller Chip I hesitated before purchasing now that I have one I am glad I did...I am finding out that the learning curve is not as bad as I thought. My only hangup is remembering all of the symbols.
And since to me Spin is a lower level language that PBasic I'm having to figure out what the use of certain operator are good for. These are confusing to me.
I like having the Modules that people are creating don't get me wrong, but if I use them all with out designing my·own code,·I really am not "Learning"
I'd like to have a repository for code snipets not modules. A "Spin" Beginners forum if you will.
Is this Possible?
