hi, iam the new user in basic stamp...now i try 2 make a porgram to make led run like tis:

when button 1 press , running light show from led 0-7.
when i press button 2, running light show will stop at the last led..

any one can help me make a program to make a task like above...thks!!

    Like any new user, you need to start with the Parallax Basic Manual and go through some of the simple examples there. There are other books that you can download from the Stamps in Class series that have tested examples you can try. Start with something simple like turning a single LED on and off, then add a second LED, then use a button to turn one LED on, then use a button to first turn one LED on, then off. Once you understand how to use buttons and LEDs, you can begin to make more complicated programs. If you think you understand the basics and are still having problems getting something to work, show us your program and we'll be happy to help.

    The "What's a Microcontroller" manual can be downloaded from the Parallax website. It should help you with this.
