I have been working on developing a product for a client of mine.·

We are supposed to go into production this weekend.· I sent my SXB Code down to him to be ready for programming.

On my machine, the Code works great.· I have no compile errors or any problems (except our known bugs)

He downloaded the SXKey v3.2 Software from the Parallax website today, and tride to program the board, but He got a list of about 20 Errors when the code compiled.

We both have SX-Key version v3.2 software on Windows XP.· We both also have the SX Key hardware.

He got errors on ODD Things also, such as this line:

········· 'Read ADC #1
(note the fact that it is a comment)

and some blank lines.

PLEASE help me out.· We are in a major crunch!!!

Make sure he is using the same version of SX/B that you are.

You can check doing HELP->ABOUT then click on the text "IDE VER: 3.2" and the text will cycle through the version numbers of the different componets.

You should be using SX/B version 1.51.01

The reason for the problem was that I emailed it to him as I would any other file. After talking to Parallax Tech support, they mentioned that the file may havecompiling errors unless it is emailed in a .zip folder.

I emailed it to him in a Zip folder, and everything works fine.

Should a sticky be made about this? It is a rather interesting that if you send a .SXB file to somebody, it must be placed in a zip folder for protection against corruption...and is probably overlooked by a lot of people.
