Frequency changes on BS2px

I have experimented some problems changing the speed and frequency of my old BS2 programs in order to adapt them to my new BS2 px.

The thumb rule has guided me is:
"Multiply speed sentences by 2.3 and divide frequency sentences by 2.3"

All my sentences had work very well except in the case of SSIR sensor module, which Parallax has discontinued. SSIR manual suggest for BS2
FREQOUT 0,1,38500 .sends out signal to IR LED
which it has to be transformed into
FREQOUT 0,2,16740
Unfortunately, the frequency causes no response from the detector. In fact, with trial and error I have found that the 5,800 - 7,200 should be a suitable working range.
But the sensitivity of the detector is hardly affected by the correct frequency chosen, so I was wondering if Parallax has made the test to find the optimal frequency for an SSIR module working with a BS2px.
Any suggest?
Thanks and best regards
