I have the·BASIC Stamp Activity Kit and I am thinking about getting a servo controller.· Everything looks cool except I want ensure they I can easily make the serial connection from the stamp to the controler while maintaining my existing serial connection to my laptop.· Is it a simple matter to do this?·

Which board are you referring to?· Is it the Board of Education or HomeWork Board?· If it is one of the two mentioned boards you shouldn't have any problems using the Parallax Servo Controller.· Here is a link for the servo controller:· http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=28023

    Hello,

·· If you order a PSC, you should get the following part as well, unless you have one of these already, since you will need to connect the PSC through the breadboard.· I hope this helps.· Take care.

I love those things.· Much better than sticking wires into the sockets.· So I will be able to interface the controller through the breadboard, and be able to serout commands with the chip, right?· Sounds splendid.· Another random question.· So I am looking at·servo specs

Operating Speed (4.8V): 0.19sec/60° at no load
Operating Speed (6.0V): 0.15sec/60° at no load
    Stall Torque (4.8V): 42 oz/in (3.0 kg/cm)
    Stall Torque (6.0V): 49 oz/in (4.5 kg/cm)

Does this speed rating mean that this servo can rotate a full 60 degrees in .19 seconds?

Does it mean at one inch for the center it can pull up to 42 ouces?
