APPMOD's for the SX

The price sure is right on the LCD Terminal APPMOD!

There's no reason why it shouldn't work with an SX, correct?· As long as the APPMOD software is converted properly, and 2X10 header pins are followed from the Board of Education -·Development Board?

I was a little surprized that I couldn't find any·source code examples of these projects for the SX or SX/B compiler.· I guess·that's the fun!

I'm·working with the SX tech board, right now.

Yes it should work. There is an example in the help file called "Serial LCD" which is a little misleading because it is actually a project to MAKE a serial interface for a parallal LCD. So the code is there to "talk" to a parallel LCD (like the appmod LCD).

That't where I would start.

I made a similar suggestion, or plea if you will, about ten months ago, I guess they lost my post. I was thinking that not only should their be an example in SX/B, but a matching on one for asm, so that way you could see what a functiong asm program looks llike. I know you can do a ctrl-l, but how many of·us write asm code the way ctrl-l displays it. Just my thoughts on the subject, again.

Thanks Bean - didn't realize the appmod LCD was parallel - I guess I should look a little closer before I leap and thanks again for the insights on a starting point!

Ray - sorry about the repost - I guess I didn't go back far enough! As suggested, I guess it's all part of the fun. We can't have them do everything for us...but it would be nice, and I'll bet they would sell some more APPMOD boards.

Same thing with the Ping))), but that's seem simple enough to convert, so far.
