SX/B Update posted. Version 1.51.01 dated 8/30/06

I have posted an update to the SX/B compiler. It is in the sticky thread at the top of the forum.

Nothing exciting, one new command "READINC" works just like "READ", but automatically increments the offset variable by the number of bytes read.

Also some bug fixes. Most notable was that I2CSEND and I2CRECV didn't work properly on the SX48.

I'm going let the compiler stabilize for awhile. The only thing worse than not releasing updates, is releasing too many updates. And I fear I'm falling into the later category, making documentation harder than it already is.

As always, please let me know of any potential problems or bugs.

Terry Hitt (aka Bean).

Bean, just curious, what are the Reserved.txt and the Invalid.txt files used for? They seem to be the same?

    Thanks!

    Rodney,

Not quite. RESERVED.TXT is used to highlight keywords. INVALID.TXT is used to make sure you don't try to use a keyword as a variable name. Alot of the assembly keywords are NOT in RESERVED.TXT but are in INVALID.TXT because the assembler will bulk if you try to make a variable name like "MOV".

    Bean.

    Hey Bean

Keep going man, you just keep going...

And Paralax - Please don't loose sight of the SX/B documentation, manual and a Stampworks-like tutorial.

Thanks again for the SX48, SX/B, Stampworks, Stamp, and the variety of other stuff that has made electronics such fun. (Who would have thought an African, in his 50s and living on the Dark Continent could learn so much about electronics.)

    Kind regards from Kwa Dukuza
