Bluetooth and Speech Recognition

I have been brainstorming various things it would be nice to be able to do with my robots. One of those things is to tie a bluetooth module into a speech recognition chip such as the VR Stamp. I'd want to use a bluetooth headset to give my robot voice commands.
The thing I am not sure of is whether a bluetooth radio that only supports a headset profile on a robot can be paired with a headset I would be using for voice command. I have been searching the internet for the answer but have not found anything that specifically addresses what I would like to do.
Does anyone know of this is doable?

I can handle complexity.. It's the SIMPLE things that confound me.
