any ideas on how to biuld a small segway from the boe bot. has any one don this before it should be easy right the boe bot has the right stuff like the ir and ir recever so you could make on like the legway could you now.

The trick is to use PID loops to accurately measure the tilt and compensate accordingly for it. You don't want to overreact and swing back and forth, but you also don't want it to take a couple of feet to recover from a slight angle tip.
I would guess you could do this with one of parallax's dual axis accelerometers instead of a gyro, though it may be tricky. If you already have a boe you could just spend the $30 or so to get an accelerometer and try it yourself. I'm sure there is a creative way to get it to work with it instead of gyros.
