BS 2SX Power??

I just got a Basic Stamp 2SX on ebay and have been testing it on my boe-bot. It seems like its not got enough power with the four AA's. Its only seems to run the first part of my program. I've seen this before once when I was using dead batteries with my Basic Stamp 2, when the program started running the servo's, the power would drop and reset the stamp. Could this be happening with brand new AA batteries and the 2SX? If this is the problem what kind of power will I need to run the 2SX and servo's off a battery? Would a 7.2v rechargeable pack work or would I need something more?

    A 7.2 volt battery pack would be excellent -- and you can run your servo's off "Vin" when using a 7.2 pack as well. It's a little high voltage, but it will certainly work.
