Devantec SRF08 object?

Hello Parallax folks, I'm sure you guys are busy on various levels. I just wanted to ask if there are any plans to supporting I2C sensor Devantec SRF08 Range Finder? No big hurry. - Just checking - thanks!

    We have·one written for the "Ping" ultra sonic rannge finder.· It's not I2c, but it may help.· I've attached it for you.

    If you have an I2C object then you could use the SRF08.· Any fully supporting I2C object should work.·

    The i2cObject and examples in the propeller object Exchange have several devantech product's demo'd including the SRF08

    Hello All,

    Using the Javelin's I2C object: I've been going insane trying to get data out of

    the Ranging Sensor SRF08, but I haven't had any luck.· I cannot even change

    the address of the sensor. confused.gif

    Assuming that the 2 new sensors I have are in working condition, is there anything I would

    need to know to get it to work with the Javelin stamp and it's I2C object included??

    (I'm only working with 1 sensor, no other I2C devices connected to bus).

    Thank you for your help in advance.

    Agustin, you need to ask your question in the Javelin forum. The people in this forum use the Propeller which is very different than the Javelin.

    Check out the examples page on www.robot-electronics.co.uk - i've also got simple Javalin stamp examples there.
