I ordered, and received yesterday, the Parallax keyboard and mouse. Thanks, that was really fast delivery.
Re: the keyboard, I'm surprised and pleased at the key travel vs the thinness of the keyboard. Nice and compact, and thin.
I'd made up a PS/2 i/f for both of these to use with my PropSTICK. First I borrowed my optical mouse from my ThinkPad and it worked great with the Etch-n-Sketch demo program. Today I tried the Parallax mouse with the ThinkPad but it wasn't recognized!!! Does this require a special driver or what to work for non-Prop use???
It worked OK with the PropSTICK, as did the keyboard, which was a pleasant treat. Things working the first time is a joy. Used the keyboard demo program which showed every key code except for the 'Fn' function key. It didn't appear to modify any codes either, as do Shift, Control and Alt (and the 'windows' labeled key). Low current of 2.5 ma w/o LEDs on, and about 8 ma for each LED lit; love low current designs.
