Demoboard input voltage

The demoboard is marked as 6-9v. I have had a look at the datasheets for the regulators that I think it uses and the max input voltages seem higher. Obviously dropping more volts means more heat to dissipate but will I get away with driving the board from 12v? I wish to drive my little screen and the board from the same 12v supply.

Try it and see. The LM2937 is rated to Vin =< 26V and has thermal overload protection, so you won't likely hurt anything. (Just keep flammables away from it. )
