I need to use the FullDuplexSerial object but am confused about how to use·the mode parameter. Could I please have some help?

    Except for bit 3, the mode options are not different from similar options on the Stamp. What is confusing you specifically?
    The bits are added (or "or'd" together). If bit 3 is a one, the receiver throws away echoed characters (one for each character transmitted).
