If you haven't done so already, get the Robotics book that's downloadable from Parallax's website. It has examples of coding and the wiring to support it. Start with the simple examples in the book and in the PBasic Manual. They show how to connect an LED and make it blink. As you work through the examples, feel free to ask questions, but you're going to have to do the work yourself, make mistakes, and come up with puzzles. We'll help some with the puzzles, but mostly we'll point you to other examples that you'll need to "play with" in order to learn what works and what doesn't. Parallax specializes in the educational field and they have much more documentation for beginners than you think and it's all very well done from a learning perspective.
