Spin without owning a prop chip

Hey. I want to start coding for a system currently in development called the Black Box, http://blackbox.jconserv.net. The hardware is still being designed and firmware is still being written. When It's done, it will be a 32 bit game console that will run games off of SD flash memory. But the problem I see here is that I have no experience in SPIN, I lack the funds as of yet to buy a propeller to practice on before the BB is finished. So I was wondering, is there any way to code spin on the PC and run the code in some sort of environment that's made to simulate a propeller chip?

No. The description of the SPIN interpretive code is not publicly documented and the interpreter is not available even if a Propeller simulator were available. The ROM copy of the interpreter is encrypted so copying it is not useful. Someone would have to create a new SPIN compiler from scratch.
