Mouse/trackpad with 4 buttons

Has anyone used a PS/2 trackpad with the Propeller? Something like this:
www.adesso.us/product_details.asp?dept_id=111&pf_id=KA33GP-410PB

I am interested in making a ipod click wheel type interface on the cheap.

What I would like to do is have the prop recognize gestures on the trackpad.
Also, can the prop read 4 mouse buttons?

Thanks

Seth

Checkout my post tonight about a new board that will do just that!

You don't need to know anything about USB...

Standard ASCII link to send commands to Afat or link via Ic2 or SPI and rs232 via a USB to rs232 (Ic2 on the Pchip)

    Cheers

The mouse above is Ps2 not USB

you could modify the mouse object to work with a 4-button mouse I am sure. It looks like it will work as a standard mouse anyway given the fact it will work in win98 with a normal driver anyway.

You mentioned wanting to use a Ipod scroll wheel like interface, http://www.phidgetsusa.com/cat/viewproduct.asp?category=5000&subcategory=5100&SKU=1016·This might·be just what your looking for, Phidget·has a very intresting array of sensors they have modified to work more specifically with their own interface kits (wheres the fun in that)·but I dought it would be very hard at all·to interface with any other microcontroller.· Let me know if you give it a shot, I have yet to try it, but it seems like fun
