USB2SER with Prop

Hi,

Can I use the USB2SER with the propeller ?

My laptop lacks serial ports, so this would be a good option.

I am thinking the USB2SER + prop + ROM + Xtal +··large bread board should pretty much cover the main items I need to get started.

Has anyone used the USB2Ser with the propeller, or is there another prefered option to connect via USB ??

Thanks

The Propeller Demo Board has a USB2SER adapter builtin to the board. Another Propeller board (Robot Controller) uses the USB2SER. You can check the thread in this forum for links, pictures, etc.

If you're using the DIP-40 version the USB2SER connects right up to it.· It's what was used during the development of the Propeller.· As pointed out, you don't need it on the Demo Board.· I hope this helps.· Take care.
