BASIC Stamp not found ?!

Hi,

I try to connect my BS1 Project Board to my laptop's parallel port using Radioshack's DB25 to DB9 connector, but the BASIC Stamp editor does not detect any stamps......do I need any drivers or.........................??????

You cannot use the parallel port on your laptop to program the BS1 Project board.· If you have a USB port you can use a USB to serial adapter to program it.· Here is a link for the adapter:· http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=28030
