Keypad Input Of Numeric String

Need a little help:

I have connected a Memkey, a serial 5 X 4 keypad and a BSP40 that is now working with debug.
I want to add a 2 X 16 LCD and be able to receive 3 digits as a numeric string. I can't seem to get SERIN to be friendly.
Will someone please provide me a snippit or two of code which will recover a numeric string? I want to display the input
on the LCD and ask for an OK "Y" input.

I have looked at the N&V Dual Digital Supply. Too much for my level.

My discovery processes have hit a stump.

Can you please attach your code as a .bsp file so that we can take look at what you have so far.· The Debug commad line is very similar to the LCD command line.
