weather monitoring station

I am in the process of setting up a weather monitoring station, for personal and group use.· I am using the AAg one-wire windspeed/direction sensor, and various other one wire sensors.· I will be using a PC for the monitoring, but I would really like to have 'readout' units, that can be placed in other areas that were not dependant on the PC, that would be hooked to the one wire network and that would read out various parameters such as temp, pressure or windspeed.· I would really like to use the BSII because I am fairly proficient with it, and it is friendly.· I also really want seven-segment displays, because I really do not like LCDs...I'm old school that way.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated, and also any recomendations for good books that go deeper into one wire technology and projects would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I've seen a (missused)···solutions with the AAG. http://www.bwired.nl/·go to the energy monitor and read the how it is done. He uses a log08-II to collect the data. This could be done with the Stamp 2p40·with I2C (1-wire) pins.
How deep will you do with the 1-wire info. You can find very detailed data at the Philips·site:

and MAXIM site http://www.maxim-ic.com/1-Wire.cfm
