Servo running without passing commands

Hello everyone,

We·are using the servo controller with USB interface (#28023) to control·two servo motors. We connected the two motors to the controller board, and·tried to run the motors by sending MATLAB commands but we did not succeed. Yesterday we observed that the motors were running with out sending the MATLAB commands.·After pressing the reset button·the motors ran for 30secs or so and then stopped. Later both the motors started running without sending any commands.
We did not understand any reason for this.

Did anyone face·any problem similar·to this? What might be the reason behind? What are we supposed to do to stop this?

Any·suggestions in this issue would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

If they are continuous rotation servos they might need to be centered. There's a hole above the wire inputs on the servo case... insert a small philips head screw driver and adjust the pot inside until the servo centers itself (stops moving). This is done while sending a 1.5ms pulse every 20ms.

Check out chapter 2 starting on page 67.

    Hope that helps!

    Thank you Matt.

The motors are working fine and rotating only after passing commands
