I am trying to recycle some sensors I had with an old Lego RCX.· I have a "Short Range Dual Infra Red Obstacle Detector" from a 3rd party vendor and they were nice enough to provide some pin-outs for me, however, I am unfamiliar with some of the terms.
Pin 1 is labeled NC
Pin 2 is labeled VCC
Pin 3 is labeled Ground
Pin 4 is labeled Right Signal
Pin 5 is labeled Left signal
Pins 3, 4, and 5 are pretty straight forward, and I was able to deduce that pin 2 is probably supposed t go to Vdd, but I have no idea what NC (pin 1)·means..?· I've included an image of the pin-out diagram that the vendor gave me (not sure if this is helpful or not).· I realize there are probably going to be many differences running this· with my BS2, but any help would be appreciated.· Thanks!!

(This should have been posted in The Sandbox.)
In that case NC would mean Normally Closed.· The complement of that would be NO meaning Normally Open.
