No Basic Stamp found !!

Hi All,
····· Well,· i bought my Boe-Bot serial version , i assembled the whole stuff· and everything looks right.
When i·execute Identify , its LoopBack - Yes , Echo - Yes ( which means the basic stamp is responding back )
But it does not show me any Device Type ..


I wrote a small test program , and when i try to run it· , i get the error message· " No BASIC Stamps Found "

    check your connections or maybe the port is wrong the LB - yes echo - yes may not mean it's the basic stamp responding

    Is there a way to verify if my STAMP2 is working ? I also tried ·unchecking the "Use FIFO buffers" in the serial port properties , but still doesnt help .

    Are you using a true serial port or a USB to serial adapter?

    I'm sure i am using the right port , also tried on another computer , but i get the same error message " No Basic Stamps found". You were right LB- yes , Echo - yes , doesnt mean anything . The response is the same as long as the serial cable is hooked up . Is my stamp2 module dead ??

    then its what happened to me. i troubleshooted it by connecting the BS2 without power then i put download and when it started i turned it back on immediately

    it's not the software it's the hardware

    How are you powering it? Low battery can cause this.

    You are right !! The batteries had drained partially ... IT WORKS NOW [noparse]:)[/noparse]

    I made the mistake to put the switch in position 0 on the USB-BOE Rev B·board. When I put it in the 1 position the Stamp was recognized.
