Is the BS2 RES pin active high or active low?

    high.
Actually it is Active LOW.· You short that pin to ground to reset the BASIC Stamp.

Current is not a real part of the equation here.· Internally the RESET line is pulled HIGH through a 10K resistor.· When the RES line is driven LOW it resets the BASIC Stamp.· Likewise that line is inversely relational to the ATN line, which when HIGH will pull the RES line LOW.

The main thing to remember is that you should never tie the RES line high, and that all you need to effect a reset is a simple N.O. push-button from that line to ground.· Pressing the button will short the line to ground and reset the BASIC Stamp.
