A smart tire pump?

I just came up with an idea for a smart tire pump. What if you could set the tire pressure you want, and hook up the pump, then press "start"' and it would stop it at the right pressure? You could even incorporate a temperature sensor that could measure the temperature of the air released from the tire and compensate for the increase in volume so you can pump the tires up properly even after driving. Sounds like an interesting project, what do you all think?

    I think you should consider what will happen when the pressure sensor (or the software) fails and your pump keeps pumping air into an over-inflated tire.
