AC Adapter for BS2p24 Demo board?

Hello,

This is just a quick question about AC adapters. I had to give my only BS2 AC adapter to a friend who's building a battery backup for his Stamp. IIRC, the one I gave him was (output) 7.5VDC, 1000mA. I have another AC adapter (that I haven't tried because I'm not sure if it will work or not) that is (output) 7.5VDC, 200mA. Will that one work safely, or do I need to buy another, and if so, what would be the prime output?

Thanks!

I don't recommend using the 7.5v/200mA supply with the BS2p24.· The reason is that the BS2p24 uses 40mA on the run which doesn't leave you with a fair amount of current for your circuit.· I recommend 6 to 12v supply with a minimum range of at least 500mA, center positive connection.

Thanks for your help! I got a 3-12V 800mA AC adapter from Fry's. It seems to work great.

    Thanks again!
