Basic Stamp and a 25 Amp Relay for a big DC motor . ( not solid state relay)
Hi,
I am looking for information about an standard 25 Amp
relay ( not solid state).
I need to drive it using a basic stamp 2
Is a 2N2222 transistor enough ?
Is it necesary to add a diode or a chip
to keep basic stamp working properly?
The coil consuption is about 350 mA.
Any information will help me.
Thanks, Joe

Double check that your drive current is actually 350mA for your relay... seems a little low.
Here is a link that should help you determine if a 2n2222 is going to be enough.
Substitute your Relay for the Motor.
Don't get HOT choosing the wrong transistor
