BTW- How to change to PAL? I searched for "_mode" in the TV object, but could not find it. I also searched for "tv_mode". I wanted to show my lady this, since it might help explain some of the coolness she doesn't understand, but my TV is PAL.....

I am looking for the LSB of tv_mode, right?

    -Parsko

PS- It says in the help section, that if I wanted to display line numbers, I need to hit ctrl-n, that doesn't work either... I do have 0.98.1

    thankyou El Paisa,

This has been one of the first things I have tried on my demoboard and its a great little program and an excellent example for showing some basic graphics and mouse functions.

Yes, SLICK and COOL, El Paisa.

I just tried it on my PropSTICK, can see the image. However, no hava mouse i/f yet, so can do nada. If I had the connector, could uncouple optical mouse from PC laptop though. Demo board sure would have been more complete.

Thanks for what your Etch n' Sketch encourages in the way of graphics.

What a neat 'tool' the Propeller is. A huge thanks to all of the Parallax team for their efforts. Also, thanks to those non-Parallax members who worked on the Propeller.

    Parsko

To use it with my TV capture card with pal I changed the following line:

    long %0000 'mode

    to

    long %0011 'mode

The LSB sets it to Pal and bit one sets it to interlaced, something that my TV card seemed to need although it maynot if I play with other settings.

You will find this info by opening TV.spin and then clicking to see the document view.

    Graham

p.s. line numbers work for me.

I really would like to keep this thread alive... Here's a post to bring it to the first fifty pages of the prop.

Quick question to anyone who uses this--is there a way to make it so the cursor stays after the first click...?

    Thanks.

I downloaded this last night and let my 3 year old daughter play with it. Kept her entertained for almost 30 minutes. She's loving Daddy's new toys (propeller stuff) because they connect to the TV and use a mouse/keyboard. Now she watches me modify programs and keeps asking "is it a game or something else".

Well, it looks like I was not the only one who liked this code... smile.gif

Have you noticed that the cursor dissapears after the first click? Could someone play with the code and see if you can get the cursor to stay? I would really like to fill in the WHOLE drawing area... I keep losing the cursor... smile.gif

    Thanks.

You all are making me feel old - I had a *real* Etch A Sketch (not Etch "&" Sketch :)

It was a blast, until dropping it from the second story porch,·showed what glass meeting concrete does ;-(

Ohio Art has a funny web site for it.

@CRP: Does that mean his Etch "'n" Sketch is spelled wrong too? smile.gif
