They will be here. We had an issue with color that pushed back the release.

    Oh Ryan -

I just can't contain myself, so I'll apologize up front. A penguin only has two colors - black and white. Which was the problomatic color? smile.gif

    <ducking>

    In jest -

    Bruce,

The PCB erroneously came back from fabrication green, but it is supposed to be black. Otherwise, those little guys are marching to our office someday soon!

    Ken -

As I'm SURE you realize, but for others I will clarify, I was just "pulling Ryan's leg" smile.gif

    Dear Bruce,

How can you pull his leg over the internet cable-thingie? No emoticon added here - only used them twice so far.

Maybe we should have kept the green PCBs and introduced a tropical Penguin, some kind of Amazon genus species.

I know your style (even back from the eGroups days!).

    Ken -

The easiest way to pull someone's leg over the Internet cable thingie is to use IP tunneling. That will go through even the smallest opening.

See what Eric thinks of 8 different, rainbow colors for the boards, as I'm sure there's plenty of space in that huge warehouse?

Style - me? Nah! I still wear button-down oxford shirts and cordivan loafers, or has that stuff made its way back?

Tires?· I'm hoping what we're not seeing is the wires coming out for the stepper motors inside the hubs.· I see the "holed wheel" for an encoder behind the rear tire...

    I John R:

I knew you'd show up at some point in this thread. This thing doesn't drive over the snow, BTW.

Hah. No stepper motors in this thing. And those holes aren't for encoders, either. Maybe a hydraulic disc brake? Hmm.

    Mike,

No, but that's an interesting connection. That's more of a personal project for me (which has been shelved till I get the Penguin in motion).

My mind is running wild, and one of the thoughts that's crossing my head is that I really don't want to become single again, but this may be the starting point down that path...

In an effort to pry more information out:

OK, if it has enough energy to require hydraulic brakes, what is the means of propulsion (other than a big hill)?
