I am looking at using a gyro to determine angular rotation. I found http://www.analog.com/en/prod/0,2877,ADXRS401,00.html
It is a pulse output. Does this mean that a number of pulses equals a certain amount of degrees traveled? If so how can you determine the direction of rotation. Any input is greatly appreciated.

    Are you sure it's a pulse output? It looks like it's got an analog voltage output. Some of Analog's sensors have both though.

    Try www.sparkfun.com , they have gyros.
