Javelin IDE + Mac OS X
Hi,
I would like to know if anyone is using their Macintosh (with OS X) as a native developement platform for Javelin Stamp. I would like to know if this is possible before
taking that route for my robotic project.
I am thinking this should be possible since Java is used for programming teh micro-controller.
Looking at the Windows IDE, I noticed the IDE is using JIKE from IBM. I didn't see an easy way to install this for Mac (Maybe using Fink?)
Of course I could always install Windows on the Mac and then run the Javelin IDE from there...but that defeats the purpose using Java!
My questions are:
How can I use javelin java packages with a different IDE (for example Eclipse)? Are these files built everytime I build my application or are they packaged in some jar files and used as a library in addition to the java core packages.
The other issue is how to download the binaries on the micro-controller? Can I use any serial terminal (with serial/usb cable)?
Thanks,
Amir.

I've got the USB-serial conversion device and USB cable in on-order from Parallax.
I've saw someone reference a few previous threads but it seemed like each approach had its own caveats.
Anybody tried this recently ?
thanks,
Scott
