Will the propeller tool/IDE recognize COM5?

I just got my PropStick today, assembled it and am trying it out, with a small problem.

I'm using a KeySpan USB-to-Serial adapter. If I let the KeySpan default to COM5, the IDE can't see the chip. If I change the KeyStone to use COM2, it still doesn't see the chip. If I change it to override COM1, then it sees it. I see messages flashing by, but none seem to say anything but COM1.

Thanks in advance, T.

I'm not sure what you mean about the messages...If it sees the Propeller Chip on COM1 then what messages are you seeing?· Since you're using an adapter you may have to disable the FIFO buffers in the Port Adavanced Properties in the Device Manager.· This·is especially true if you have a laptop.· Take care.
