Hey, i wasn't planning on using a demo board (i've ordered my propstick and really will need more than 8 I/Os) but would like to be able to use the display. is there a way to connect the two without a demo board?

If you are talking about a television as opposed to a computer monitor, and if you have Expresspcb I can attach a copy of my board that has the circuitry for a TV display.

    Litefire,

I just use an RCA connector from Radio Shack soldered to a short stub of wire (for ground) and three resistors: (1100, 560, 270) or (1000, 510 or 470, 220). With the latter combination I add an additional 270 to ground to limit signal levels. The free ends of the wire and resistors are simply poked into the solderless breadboard. You can look at the schematic for the Demo Board for connection details.

Litefire, I have attached the layout of the TV connections.· While you can use any pins you want, I suggest you stickwith pins 12, 13 and 14.· The
TV_Terminal programs I have seen and am using call out pin 12.

Part numbers for the 1 percent resistors are on the attachment.· R1 is not connected since I do not need it.
