Does anyone here use or have used a RoboEye?· I am thinking of getting one for my Boe-bot and was wondering what others think of it.· I know that it is somewhat slow but so is the Mars rover.
Thank You,

I have used it before on a couple of Boe-Bots.· It works okay, like you mentioned it does require some time for the picture to develop.· There is a lens on the Robo Eye that allows you to adjust the pictue for fine tuning.

Well, I decided to get a Roboeye before they ran out of them.· Very cool!· I mounted it on my Boe-bot at the rear and on top.· It is on a bracket that I made up which has a servo so I can rotate the Roboeye 180°.· It is hard to judge distances from the pictures that appear on your PC, so I am th;inking of adding a Ping))) on the front of the Bot.

Here is a link to a picture

·I have not been able to figure out how to post pictures on this forum so here are some links.

Here are two samples.· The first one is from 1 1/2 feet and the second is from 4 feet.· The box is on the floor in front of a closet door.

The pictures that the Roboeye takes are in bitmap format and·were converted to .jpg before posting

I would imagine it is possible study, as USB runs on a regulated +5 Logic Volts, so google it maybe you can find somthing out. surely noone wants that to be discussed on here since its kkind of stopping sales for parallax but ide look
